Learn more about caring for your trees, lawn and garden at these informational, free classes brought to you by Boise Parks and Recreation and the Community Forestry Unit. Flower and Gardening Classes

Roses – Add beauty to your home or garden by planting roses. This course will cover pruning techniques and how to treat some of the most common pests. Class will be held virtually on March 17 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Register hereCurrently, there is a waitlist.

Landscaping Classes and Arboretum Tour

Landscape – Get background on residential landscape design in this informational course. Site planning, proper placement hydro zones and more will be covered on March 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Register today. Currently, there is a waitlist.

Lawn and Irrigation – We’ll cover turf growth, physiology and effective cultivation strategies in this virtual course on March 31. Plus, learn about efficient irrigation systems. Register today. Currently, there is a waitlist.

City Arboretum Tour – Come tour the nursery where the City of Boise grows its trees! Class will be limited to 10 attendees and we recommend you bring a water bottle. Masks and social distancing are required. The tour will be held on May 12 – learn more and register. Currently, there is a waitlist.
