Boise Parks and Recreation's Heritage Fund, established in 1980, allows individuals, organizations or corporations to donate funds for public purposes to support park improvements, memorials, programs, events, or projects that benefit the Boise community.
Donations help support a myriad of Boise Parks and Recreation projects and programs such as Adaptive Recreation, the annual Kids Holiday Shopping Spree, Boise Foothills land acquisitions, memorial benches, trees, zoo exhibits, scholarships, Boise River Greenbelt improvements and more.
Donations to the Heritage Fund are held separate from the City of Boise's capital and general fund operating accounts. With exception to residual project balances, 100% of donations are spent on their designated purpose. The city absorbs the administrative costs to help manage the fund.
All of your donations for public purposes are eligible for tax deductions.
