521 W Grove Street Public Space
The City of Boise alongside Capital City Development Corporation (Boise’s redevelopment agency) is working to bring a new public space to downtown Boise that recognizes and celebrates the history, contributions, and culture of the diverse populations from the property’s historic Boise neighborhood.
Located at the corner of 6th and Grove Streets in downtown Boise, the new public space has the potential to provide a gathering space for community events, celebrate the multi-cultural and historic richness of the neighborhood and create a new space for people to enjoy the outdoors.
Boise Parks and Recreation Commission hosted a public hearing on November 16, 2023 and City Council affirmed direction for the preferred site design on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
Project completion estimates are subject to change due to volatility in the construction industry. Current challenges include material availability, rising costs, supply chain disruptions, staffing shortages and more. Boise Parks and Recreation will update project timelines as needed if delays occur.
