The Bowler property, a 24.62 acre undeveloped site in Southeast Boise near Surprise Valley, only has about 12 acres that can be improved due to the topography.
This property was acquired from Beth and Bruce Bowler in 1995.
2019 Development Concept Information
Boise Parks and Recreation is excited to present the proposed master plan for Bowler Park. Feedback from public engagement guided the development of the park which includes preserving much of the native sage brush, connections to the surrounding subdivisions, and introduces firewise and pollinator demonstration areas, parking, picnic shelters, misters, playground and nature play areas, dog off leash areas, fitness area, skate plaza, bocce ball courts, disc golf, and open play space.
The proposed master plan will be presented to the Parks and Recreation Commission on January 23, 2020 for approval. Residents are welcome to attend this public meeting. Meeting will be located at Maryanne Jordan City Council Chambers, Boise City Hall, 150 Capitol Blvd, 3rd Floor starting at 4 p.m.
