The City of Boise used Open Space and Clean Water levy funds to purchase and preserve .26-acre of property in West Boise for a future park and open space site.
The undeveloped property is located near the corner of W UStick Road and N Maple Grove Road at 3245 N Welford Avenue.
The proposed park site will offer 1,929 residents from 823 households on the West Bench the ability to access a neighborhood park within a 10-minute walk. The closest park to this location, Milwaukee Park, is located about one mile away. That means the proposed park site off N. Welford Avenue would serve almost entirely new additions to the city’s 10-Minute Walk to a Park goal.
The total purchase price for the property was approximately $250,000, which includes anticipated closing costs.
