Bethine Church River Trail Improvement Projects

Bethine Church Bridge Repair Project

Boise Parks and Recreation has completed repairs on a bridge along the Bethine Church River Trail. Work began March 21, 2022 and was completed on Friday, April 29.

Scope of work included the reinforcement of bridge beams and replacement of several deck boards. This work will extend the life of the bridge.

Improved River Access Point and Bank Repair

There's a new river access point along the Bethine Church River Trail, one of our "Ribbon of Jewels" along the Boise River. It is near mile marker SE 3.6.

Please help us protect this peaceful area and the wildlife that call it home. No bikes or E-scooters are allowed on the Bethine Church River Trail and pets must be on a leash.

The main reason behind the work is to formalize an entrance/exit along the Boise River so users have a place to view and explore the area. Also, the bank in the area was in need of stabilization. This will decrease other social access points caused by users that result in vegetation and bank damage.

Project completion estimates are subject to change due to volatility in the construction industry. Current challenges include material availability, rising costs, supply chain disruptions, staffing shortages and more. Boise Parks and Recreation will update project timelines as needed if delays occur.
