Hewett Park Playground

The new playground at Hewett Park was built with accessibility in mind.

The updated playground design features accessible play equipment including a bird nest swing, a play house for imaginative exploration, various climbing structures including a transfer station, a sensory garden wall, and equipment for kids of a variety of ages and abilities. Overall, the playground features are designed to appeal to children ages 2 to 12 years old.

In addition, a special bonded rubber fall material has been installed underneath the playground – the surface is easy to navigate for people who use assistive devices and provides a soft surface for all playground users.

There is also a new paved sidewalk extending from W. McMillan Road south to North Oxbow Place.
