Joel B. Oldham

Born May 26, 1832, Kentucky
Died June 18, 1896, Blackfoot, Idaho

He made Idaho his home in 1865. He lived in the Basin and on Wood River at various times but always considered Boise his home. He served as Sheriff three separate terms, being elected the last time in 1890.

Following his last term as sheriff, he became ill and was admitted to the State Hospital in Blackfoot where he died on June 18, 1896.
