Pool Rules

To help us provide a safe and healthy experience for everyone at Boise’s municipal pools, we ask that you comply with the following policies:

  1. All pools have a maximum capacity of swimmers (each pool is different). Admission is based on a first come, first served basis with no exceptions. Season pass holders are not guaranteed admittance when the pool is at capacity.
  2. All individuals entering a pool facility will be required to pay the daily admission fee during open swim hours (this includes Adult & Child Preschool Swim).
  3. Children under the age of nine (9) years of age must be supervised at all times by an adult / guardian who is at least 16 years of age.
  4. Children under three (3) years of age must be in an adult’s arms in water deeper than the child’s chest and within arm’s reach of an adult at all other times.
  5. Wading pools are limited to children six (6) years and under, accompanied by an adult. Adults must remain within arm’s reach of the child at all times.
  6. Individuals who are not potty-trained must wear swim diapers.
  7. All swimmers must shower before entering the water.
  8. If your child has had a stomach illness, please wait two weeks before allowing your child to swim. Anyone with open sores or an infectious disease is not permitted in the pool.
