The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires a one-night Point-in-Time (PIT) count of persons who are experiencing homelessness during the last ten days of January. The data from this count helps determine the amount of federal funding awarded for homeless programs and also helps us understand the extent of homelessness in our community.
