The waitlist is currently closed. At this time, we do not know when it will be open again.

If you are already on the City of Boise’s Rental Housing waitlist, you may use this form to update your contact information and/or to inquire about your placement on the waitlist.

Important Things to Do After Receiving Placement on the Waiting List

Stay on the List

  • If you didn't receive an email confirming your pre-application submittal, please let us know.
  • Please use this form to update your contact information and/or to inquire about your placement on the waitlist. If you're unable to access the form, please contact our office at (208) 570-6830.
  • Be sure to check your mailbox, and call from time to time to check your position on the waiting list

Gather Documents

  • Have your Driver’s License/State ID, Social Security card, and wages or benefits statement from Social Security for all household members

Look for a Letter

  • When your application approaches the top of the waiting list, you will receive a letter informing you to contact our office to schedule a certification appointment.

Financial Resources

  • A security deposit and first month's rent may be required.

  • All payments should be in a sealed envelope labeled “Rental Housing.”
  • Be sure to drop your payment well in advance to ensure it arrives before the late fee is assessed on the 10th of the month.

  • If you require a receipt emailed or printed and mailed to you, please make your request in writing, and include with the check.

Reminders

Rent is paid in advance and is due on the first (1st) day of each month.

Rent becomes late if not paid by the end-of-business on the tenth (10th) day of each month. If the 10th falls on a weekend, then Rent becomes late if not paid by the end of the next business day.

Any Rent paid late is subject to a ten dollar ($10) late fee.
