The City of Boise owns and operates rental properties across the City that house lower-income households. The rents charged in these properties is based on the income of the tenant household.
Rental Housing Wait List
Because of the overwhelming need for affordable housing in Boise, the Wait List to live at one of the properties owned and operated by the City of Boise is years-long.
The Wait List is Currently Closed
If you are currently on the wait list:
When there is a vacancy, we will contact you by mail, email, and phone. If we do not receive a timely response, you will be removed from the Wait List.
Be sure to keep your mailing address, email, and phone number updated. You may update them by calling 208-570-6829 and leaving a voicemail or by emailing PropertyManagement@CityofBoise.org.

- Call 2-1-1 and ask for a Navigator with the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, and they may connect you with resources.
