FAQ
Can I testify at the appeal hearing?
Because this is an appeal, testimony works a little differently. Testimony on the appeal is limited to parties of record. So, if you provided verbal or written testimony at the Planning and Zoning Commission hearing in December 2021 when they reviewed this application, then yes, you are able to testify at this hearing. No new testimony will be allowed.
- All written comments that were submitted prior to November 12, 2021, by 5:00 pm and all verbal testimony provided during the Planning & Zoning Commission hearings on December 6 and 13, 2021, are already considered part of the record and will be reviewed by the City Council prior the scheduled hearing. People should not duplicate or resubmit these testimonies; they are already included in the public record.
- Presentation Materials: Any materials wish to be shown/used during the hearing must have been sent to zoninginfo@cityofboise.org by Monday, April 11 by 5:00 p.m.
What does “Party of Record” mean?
A party of record is someone who has already shared written or provided verbal testimony on this topic when it was before the Planning & Zoning Commission.
Do I need to check-in to testify?
Yes, check-in is required to provide testimony.
- In-person testimony: Check-in will be at the first-floor lobby of Boise City Hall. All parties of record will need to check-in and receive a wristband. You will not be able to testify in person if you do not have a wristband.
- Virtual testimony: Please register on Zoom. You will be called on when we move to hearing from parties of record testifying virtually.
How long will I have to testify?
Public testimony is limited to 3 minutes per party of record.
