In January 2022, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed a Conditional Use Permit application submitted by Interfaith Sanctuary. After deliberation the Commission voted to deny the request, 5-1. The decision was appealed by the applicant. In April 2022, Boise City Council voted 4-2 to overturn the Planning and Zoning Commission’s decision to deny Interfaith Sanctuary’s conditional use permit (CUP21-00026). This decision allows Interfaith to begin work on its new location at the former Salvation Army Warehouse on State Street.
