Design Review Application

Virtually all commercial, industrial, office and multi-family residential zones have Design Review approval requirements. The Design Review process protects property rights and values, enhances important environmental features of the city and ensures that the general appearance of buildings and site improvements are consistent with the goals of the city.

The Design Review application reviews new construction and exterior alterations to a building or site located within the city’s Design Review and Downtown Design Review Overlays zones. Minor Design Review projects may be reviewed by the Planning Team; however, Major Design Review projects require further evaluation by the Boise City Design Review Committee.
