Comprehensive Plan Amendment

The Comprehensive Plan Amendment (CPA) application is the procedure in which to amend Blueprint Boise, the city’s comprehensive plan, in order to address changes within the community since its adoption. All CPAs require a Pre-Application Meeting with the Planning Team and are reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council. Some CPAs may also require neighborhood meetings. Typical amendments include: modifying or adding goals, objectives, or policies; adopted by reference Neighborhood or Specific Plans; and Land Use Map amendments. All proposals require compliance with specific criteria outlined in the Zoning Ordinance.
