Home Occupation

The Home Occupation application is for home occupations or businesses that requires administrative review as defined by the Zoning Ordinance.  A Home Occupation is defined as any gainful occupation engaged in by an occupant of a dwelling unit and must meet specific criteria. These applications are reviewed administratively by the Planning Team. Examples of administrative home occupations may include: group instruction, counseling, and bookkeeping. Review of home occupations helps to ensure that the nature of the business does not adversely affect the residential character of the neighborhood.
