The Planned Unit Development (PUD) application is the procedure that provides an opportunity for creative land development that preserves natural features, allows efficient provision of services, and provides common open spaces or other amenities not found in traditional lot-by-lot development. Planned Developments are intended to provide certain benefits to the public and to the developer, which may include a variety of housing types, reduction in lot sizes, modified building setbacks and phasing plans. These applications require a Pre-Application Meeting with the Planning Team and are reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission.
