Vacations, Waivers and Street Names
The Vacation of Easement and/or Plat Note application is the procedure to vacate a recorded easement and/or plat note that is included on a recorded plat. These easements are typically for utilities that may interfere with the placement of structures or other improvements. The review requires all easement holders to relinquish their rights to the easement area by providing documentation acknowledging approval of the vacation. These notes are typically for building setbacks or other restrictive statements that may interfere with the placement of structures or other improvements. Vacation applications are reviewed by the City Council.
The Subdivision Ordinance Waiver application is the procedure to request relief from a requirement within the Subdivision Standards of the Zoning Ordinance. The application is reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission and requires meeting specific criteria. Waiver requests typically include waiving physical improvements to the property such as landscaping or right-of-way improvements like curb, gutter, and sidewalk.
The Street Name Change application is the procedure to change a street name of an existing street. The application is reviewed by the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council.
