Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee is proud to announce that Officer Travis Buffi is taking over as the newest refugee liaison officer for the City of Boise, replacing former Liaison Officer Jessica Knarr. Officer Knarr has applied for and been assigned to the Boise Police Department’s Training, Education and Development Division. We are grateful for the amazing work that Officer Knarr did during her time as the Refugee Liaison Officer and look forward to seeing her excel in her new position as well.
Officer Buffi will be leaving his current assignment in patrol to serve as the fourth BPD Refugee Liaison Officer in the Community Outreach Division. Officer Buffi is also part of the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) and has served as a Field Training Officer (FTO) for the Boise Police Department. Officer Buffi spent several months working with Officer Knarr building the necessary relationships and knowledge of the position to ensure a seamless transition.
