Aerosols

This is Household Hazardous Waste.
Spray paint or other aerosols that contain hazardous materials and/or have product remaining in the container can be dropped off at any household hazardous waste collection site or the hazardous waste collection facility at the Ada County Landfill.

DO NOT put aerosols that contain hazardous ingredients or have product remaining in them in your trash cart.

Other aerosols (for example, food related or air fresheners) and aerosols cans that are completely empty can be placed in your trash cart.

Reduce and Reuse

Buy only what you need to limit excess that will become waste. Use an online spray paint coverage calculator to help avoid over buying.

Visit the Material Reuse Program at the Ada County Landfill to find free paints that are in usable condition donated by someone else in the community.
