Wire hangers should be placed into the trash. Wire hangers are not safe to recycle as they get caught in recycling equipment.
Reduce usage by bringing your own hangers to the dry cleaners. Or, donate your wire hangers to the dry cleaners for reuse.
If donating clothes to a thrift store, hang the clothing on unwanted hangers when dropping off your donation.
