Food Scrap Drop Off

Register for the Pilot Program

Reducing food waste is one of the most impactful actions households can take to shrink their environmental footprint. Composting wasted food preserves space in our landfill, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and enhances Boise soil health. To help our community reduce food waste, the City of Boise is piloting a Food Scrap Drop-off Program for multi-family residents.

Boiseans who live in apartments, condos, or other multi-family communities without curbside compost service can now collect food scraps at home and deliver the material to a drop-off location, listed below.

To participate in this free pilot program, multi-family residents must register. In doing so, participants will receive additional program information and a code to access the locked drop-off sites. Please click the link below to register.
