Business and Apartment Programs

Curb It Commercial

Curb It Commercial is the city’s solid waste program for businesses and multi-family housing.

As businesses bounce back from the pandemic, the total amount of waste going to the landfill has increased. In fact, while businesses only account for less than 5% of total accounts, they create more than 60% of the total disposed waste. As the city reevaluates its climate goals, business leaders are starting to realize the environmental impact of their businesses and are changing strategic directions towards reducing waste.

Available Programs

The City of Boise and Republic Services have partnered to give businesses a variety of services designed to reduce landfill waste. The city offers trash, recycling and glass recycling. We also offer assistance to help your business and tenants reduce their impact and reuse commonly disposed of materials.

  • Trash
Trash is collected up to 6x times per week. Contact Republic Services to set up your trash service. Container sizes vary and include carts. Lids must be closed on containers for collection. Please don’t overfill.
  • Recycling
Fill your recycling container only with items accepted in the program. Your first recycling cart is free. Save costs by adding a recycling container for up to 40% less than a trash dumpster.
  • Reduce and Reuse
The most effective way to manage waste is to not create it in the first place. The act of reducing and reusing means consuming more responsibly and putting fewer materials in our trash and recycling.
