Frequently Asked Questions

Creating your new account is easy! You just need your utility bill account number, which can be found on any past bill. Register using your email address, which doesn’t need to match your previous online billing account. Use our registration walkthrough to help you through the process, and contact us if you have any questions.

The City of Boise is transitioning to a new utility billing payment platform in 2026 to offer more secure, convenient payment options on an easy-to-use system. Customers who pay online or use AutoPay need to create a new account to continue payments.

To continue or start making online or automatic payments, you’ll need to create an account in the new payment system. If you receive a utility bill in February, you’ll need to register for online payment by February 25 to avoid missing a payment. If you receive a utility bill in March, you’ll need to register for online payment by March 25 to avoid missing a payment.

If you pay by mail or use eCheck/ACH, you do not need to create a new online account. Your payments will continue as normal. If you’d like to start paying your bill online, create a new account. If you’d like to make changes to your account, contact us.

To avoid a late payment, register before your next bill due date, either February 25 or March 25, 2026, depending on your payment cycle.

Yes. If you currently receive a paper copy of your bill, you will continue to receive a mailed paper copy. You can help us meet our climate goals, reduce costs and reduce waste by going paperless when you register for your new account.

The City of Boise will continue to accept your payments without charging any fees for the payment type.
