Join us for a fun Foothills Family Day in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center (FLC)! Nestled in the heart of the Boise Foothills, come experience all this incredible indoor and outdoor classroom has to offer. We’re hosting a free birding hike at 10 a.m., a nature hike at 11 a.m. and will be giving tours of the grounds and facility throughout the morning and early afternoon. Plus, we’ll have face painting and hands-on activities for kids! Say hello to partner organizations including The Nature Conservancy, Boise Urban Garden School, the Treasure Valley Bee Club, Golden Eagle Audubon Society and more. You can also try a tasty treat from Hip Pop Hooray, with proceeds from a special popcorn blend benefitting the Ridge to Rivers Trail System. All ages are welcome, and this event is free to attend. Please register in advance so we know how many to expect.
Parking is limited at the FLC and is available on a first come, first served basis. You can also park at the Lower Hulls Gulch Trailhead lot, hike up from the Grove Trailhead parking lot, or use the side of the road along Sunset Peak. Thank you for being kind and courteous to trail users when you visit!
