City Launches Survey Seeking Input from Boise's Kids, Teens, and Parents

May 5, 2025

The City of Boise is creating a Youth Roadmap, a long-term strategic and research driven framework that will help inform city policies, programs, and community engagement to ensure that our younger residents feel supported, engaged and empowered to thrive.  To start the process, the city is launching a survey to learn more about the experiences and aspirations of Boise’s youth and the adults who care for them.

“Our incredible nonprofit sector, schools, and youth programming at the city have made our community a great place to grow up and to raise a family. I am incredibly proud of the youth-focused work so many are already invested in, and I know there is more we can do to ensure Boise is a place where youth of all ages are supported, engaged, and empowered,” said Council Member Jimmy Hallyburton, the project’s sponsor. “I truly believe the work completed through our Youth Roadmap initiative will shape programming, facilities, and youth-empowering efforts for generations to come.”

The Youth Roadmap will bring together kids, teens, parents, educators, and city leaders to create a shared vision and long-term strategy for supporting Boise’s next generations.  The survey will be followed by additional engagement.  Initial findings are expected to be presented in the fall and followed by additional feedback and recommendations from the community.

The survey can be found HERE. Responses will be collected through the month of June.
