Mayor McLean Announces Phased Re-Opening of City of Boise Facilities

September 2, 2020

Over the past several months, our community has made significant sacrifices to protect our families, friends, neighbors and our most vulnerable community members from the COVID-19 virus. I am deeply grateful to all who have done their part in slowing the spread of the virus by working together. Your commitment to the health of our community has allowed us to safely re-open businesses and keep people working.

As we continue to look toward recovery and resilience, the City of Boise will begin slowly re-opening several facilities for in-person services beginning Tuesday, September 8.

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our employees and residents, remote services are highly encouraged and facilities will open in a limited capacity. The following safety protocols will be required at each facility:

  • Physical distancing (6-foot distance from others)
  • Face coverings
  • Keep hands and surfaces clean (hand sanitizer will be available at each location)

For individuals unable to wear a face covering, alternative services, such as curbside service, will be provided.
