Interfaith Sanctuary Appeal Hearing Dates to be Set for City Council

April 14, 2022

The Interfaith Sanctuary appeal hearing will be in front of City Council starting next week. The hearing will be at City Hall in Maryanne Jordan Council Chambers and streamed through the city’s YouTube channel.

  • On Monday, the hearing will begin with staff presentations, appellant-applicant presentations, neighborhood associations presentations, and finally, questions from City Council.
  • Public testimony will begin on the second day of the hearing.
  • City Council will hear from in-person attendees first, before inviting virtual attendees to testify each day.
  • Only parties of record (those who provided written and/or verbal testimony to the Planning & Zoning Commission) can testify.
  • Once public testimony has finished, council will then move to deliberations.

Hearing Schedule

This schedule is subject to change. No session will go past the listed end time and can end earlier if no one is signed up and waiting to testify.

If you want to testify:

  • Since this is an appeal, you can only testify if you provided written and/or verbal testimony to the Planning & Zoning Commission in December. No new testimony will be allowed.
  • You will need to check-in to testify.
  • In-person testimony: Check-in at the first-floor lobby of Boise City Hall and receive a wristband. You will not be able to testify in-person if you do not have a wristband.
  • Virtual testimony: Please check-in on Zoom. You will be called on when the session moves to virtual testimony.
  • If you check-in to testify, you will have a chance to speak, but not necessarily on that day or at a specific time.
  • The deadline to submit any visual aids for testimony has passed.
  • Testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per party of record.

To allow for comfortable accommodations and distancing, capacity in Council Chambers will be limited. An overflow space will be available, if needed.
