Mayor McLean Announces Recipients of Boise's 2023 Neighborhood Investment Program Awards

July 14, 2022

Today, Mayor McLean announced the recipients of the City of Boise’s 2023 Neighborhood Investment Program. Part of the City’s Energize Our Neighborhoods initiative, the program funds improvements in neighborhoods across the city that enrich the lives of residents, enhance the identity of our neighborhoods and encourage a strong sense of community.

Project applications were accepted from November 1, 2021, through January 31, 2022. In all, 11 projects were proposed by 10 unique Neighborhood Associations in Boise.

“Boise’s neighborhoods are the connective tissue of our city. They instill a sense of place and belonging and contribute to the welcoming culture of our vibrant community,” said Mayor McLean. " I am proud of the commitment our residents make every year to one another and to our city. Investments like these improve the quality of each neighborhood and contribute to creating a city for everyone.”

The Neighborhood Investment Program committee selected nine projects that will have a lasting impact on our community for a total of $318,765. The types of projects funded include a new skate spot at Ivywild Park, signage that recognizes the unique character of our neighborhoods, and amenities that will increase safety and connectivity in the City of Boise.
