BOISE – Members have been selected for the new E-Mobility Task Force established by Boise Mayor Lauren McLean and Boise City Council. Last month, the city opened applications for two at large community seats on the volunteer task force. Applications have since closed, and the task force is now fully formed. Its members include representatives from healthcare, public safety, bike businesses, education and the disability community, as well as parents and youth.
The E-Mobility Task Force will meet monthly through the end of this year, culminating in a community-based recommendation to Boise City Council on how to approach e-mobility transportation policy and public education.
“We’ve heard loud and clear from residents that we need an e-mobility plan made for the community, by the community,” said Boise Mayor Lauren McLean. “I look forward to the recommendations from this task force and working together to create shared spaces that can be enjoyed safely by everyone.”

“I think everyone has a desire for Boise to be a safe and enjoyable place to walk, bike, and connect to the community. This taskforce of diverse stakeholders will play a key role in ensuring e-bikes and other forms of e-mobility fit into that desire,” said Boise City Councilmember Jimmy Hallyburton. “I’m excited for their guidance in shaping policy, regulations, education, and enforcement efforts around these new and emerging vehicles.”
