Work is underway to add new amenities to Stewart Gulch Park, located in the Central Foothills of NE Boise. The approximately six acre park is under construction now. Improvements will include the addition of nearly four acres of turf with a full irrigation system, a wheelchair and ADA accessible concrete pathway with benches and trash cans, and a drinking fountain with a dog water bowl. These new park features will enhance the shelter and playground already on site.

“We’re grateful to the neighbors who worked with us to get this park built out,” said Boise Parks and Recreation Director Doug Holloway. “Thank you for your patience and we look forward to celebrating the green-up and completion of Stewart Gulch Park next year.”

More than 180 residents are within a 10-minute walk of Stewart Gulch Park and the City of Boise remains committed to its goal of every Boisean being within a 10-minute walk to a park or open space within their community.

The improvement projects at Stewart Gulch Park are expected to be completed by the spring of 2024.

Project completion estimates are subject to change due to volatility in the construction industry. Current challenges include material availability, rising costs, supply chain disruptions, staffing shortages and more. Boise Parks and Recreation will update project timelines as needed if delays occur.
