Registration for Boise Parks and Recreation Fall Classes and Programs Starts Monday, August 5

As summer winds down, registration for upcoming Boise Parks and Recreation classes, school break camps, environmental education opportunities and more is on the horizon. Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, August 5, Boise residents can register for a variety of programs taking place in the coming months. Non-resident registration starts at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7.

Fall activities include Boise Outdoor Preschool for little learners at the Jim Hall Foothills Learning Center and Boise Urban Garden School, dance and performing arts classes at Fort Boise Community Center, school break camps at Zoo Boise, ice hockey and ice skating lessons at Idaho IceWorld, pickleball ladder leagues and much more.

"We are proud to offer a wide variety of opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to learn, explore and recreate in the City of Trees," said Boise Parks and Recreation Director Doug Holloway. "While we strive to always keep our programs affordable, we also offer a robust scholarship program to make sure finances are not a barrier to participate in our classes and camps."

For those looking to improve their skills on the golf course, lessons are available at the City of Boise’s two municipal golf courses: Quail Hollow and Warm Springs. Boise Parks and Recreation’s popular Kid City afterschool programs for students in 1st through 6th grade also return this fall at various school-based community center locations. Pre-registration is required for students to participate. Plus, popular Lifetime and Leisure outings for older adults happening this fall.

Additionally, Boise Parks and Recreation continues to offer a wide range of outdoor field trips, classes and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities through our AdVenture Adaptive Recreation Program.
