Thank you to everyone who provided input on the theme and design features to be included in the “kiddie” area at Whitney Pool. The results are in, and Under the Sea Exploration was the favorite of the three design options, winning 38.67% of the vote. Safari Land received 35.86% of the vote and the Pirate Adventure theme received 25.47% of the vote.
Plans are coming together for the new Whitney Pool, which will be located next to Whitney Elementary School (1609 S. Owyhee Street) on the Boise Bench. The regional pool will include a variety of features, including a dedicated space for children to splash and play.
At this stage in the planning and design process, Boise Parks and Recreation is engaging Boise residents to help vote for an overall theme and design features to be included in the “kiddie” area at Whitney Pool. Residents of all ages can choose from three themes, each with distinct features and play elements for kids:

The survey is open until Friday, March 14 at 5 p.m. The winning design theme will then be incorporated into the project.
Construction is expected to start on the new Whitney Pool in late 2025 with completion anticipated in 2026. Additional timeline information will be shared as it is available.
