Driver arrested for DUI after crash on Roosevelt

Arrested: Kinsley Brunke, 29, Boise

Charges: Driving Under the Influence (Aggravated) (F), Leaving the Scene of an Accident (F)

On August 22nd around midnight Boise Police responded to the 1400 block of W. Roosevelt for what was reported as a Hit and Run injury accident involving a vehicle and pedestrian.  Witnesses immediately responded to the injured person and another driver followed the suspect’s vehicle and relayed information to police.

After an investigation officers learned that the suspect, Kinsley Brunke, was driving southbound on Roosevelt when her passenger exited the vehicle, while the vehicle was in motion, and was subsequently struck by the vehicle causing serious injuries.  Brunke then left the scene and was later located by law enforcement.  Brunke was given a field sobriety test and was arrested on the listed charges and taken to the Ada County Jail.

The injured passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
