Boise Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Sunday Afternoon Investigation

Arrested: Dakota Crockford, 20, Boise

Charges: Aggravated Assault (F), Stalking (F), Resisting or obstructing officers (m)

On Sunday Boise Police received information about a reported aggravated assault that happened on Saturday afternoon. Preliminary information suggested that a male suspect was in possession of a gun when he attempted to force a woman he knew into his vehicle. He was not successful and the women got away.

Around 12:45pm on Sunday officers located the suspect near Gourley and Dorian. The suspect was seen with a gun and he took off running. Officers quickly set up a perimeter and the suspect ran into his house on the 1600 block of S. Hervey. Officers were able to make contact with the suspect around 2:00 pm and the suspect came out of the house and was taken into custody. Following additional investigation, the suspect, Dakota Crockford, was taken to the Ada County Jail and booked in on the above charges.
