BPD detectives investigating fatal motorcycle vs SUV crash Tuesday evening

At just after 7:30 p.m. Boise Police patrol officers responded to a motorcycle vs. SUV crash on Chinden Boulevard at Five Mile Road.  The motorcycle rider was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.  Despite life-saving efforts, the 24-year-old male died from his injuries.  He was not wearing a helmet.  The driver of the SUV, an adult female, received minor injuries in the crash but was not transported.  BPD Criminal Investigation Unit detectives and a crash scene reconstruction team responded to the scene and the investigation is ongoing.  No charges have been filed.  Identification of the motorcycle rider will be released by the Ada County Coroner's Office pending notification of family.
