Just before 7:00 a.m. on 6/26/19 Boise Police were called to a home on Whisper Cove Ave. A 20-year-old male had knocked on a victim’s door and asked for help. The victims, a man and a woman, let the man inside, but when the victims noticed the man was under the influence of an unknown substance the victims asked the man to leave. The man left but then kicked the door several times and struck one of the victims with the door when he opened it. The man then ran away. Officers arrived minutes later and found the suspect walking on W. Inglin Ct. and ordered the suspect to the ground. The suspect was yelling random things and acting erratically. As officers attempted to handcuff the suspect he took off running. Officers were able to stop the suspect and safely take him into custody. Officers received information that the suspect was under the influence of an unknown substance and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges have been routed to the prosecutor for review.

On 5/10/19 Boise Police responded to assist Health and Welfare at a home on W. Silver City Dr. After an investigation, officers determined that the living conditions inside the home were unsafe for a newborn baby and the child was declared to be in imminent danger. The baby was placed into the custody of the Department of Health and Welfare due to health hazards and deplorable conditions inside the home. The investigation was also sent to the Ada County Prosecutors Office and an arrest warrant was issued for Shonalee Petet and Charles Wrath for felony charges of Injury to Child. Petet and Wrath were arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on June 25th.
