Arrested: Dylan Kidd, 20, Kuna
Charges: Robbery (F)
Arrested: Donavan Ferreira, 20, Boise
Charges: Aggravated Assault (F)
Detectives from the Boise Police Department have charged two suspects following a robbery at a Boise Hotel. Evidence indicates that suspect, Dylan Kidd, and possibly additional suspects, went into a room occupied by the victim and hit him with a firearm and stole his wallet, cash, phone and a few grams of marijuana. The victim told police that he recognized Kidd as being another patron of the hotel. The victim also said he was in fear for his life and sustained injuries during the attack.
When officers arrived on scene around 4:20 a.m. they found multiple people in two rooms at the hotel and made contact with Donavan Ferreira. Following interviews, officers obtained information that suspect, Donavan Ferreira, pointed a firearm at witnesses prior to police arrival. Due to the witness and victim statements, officers knew there were additional subjects refusing to come out of the hotel rooms and that they likely had a weapon. Several hours later, around 10:30 a.m. with the help of the BPD Special Operations unit, officers were able to take the outstanding subjects, including Dylan Kidd, into custody. After additional interviews and gathering additional evidence, detectives from the Boise Police violent crimes unit arrested two suspects on the listed charges and they were booked into the Ada County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible.
