Just after 1:00 a.m. Boise Police were called to a report of a shooting near Fairview Ave. and Cloverdale Rd. Officers from Boise and Meridian secured the scene and Ada County Paramedics rushed the male adult victim to the hospital but he was pronounced deceased. Officers began an investigation and one person, identified as Devon Arnold, was taken into custody. A preliminary investigation shows that the victim was with a group of friends at an apartment in the area when the suspect showed up. Evidence shows the victim had exited the residence to check on a friend when he was shot near a parking lot in the area of Cloverfield Ln and Dawn Pl. The suspect remained on scene and after further investigation by the Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit, Arnold was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charge.
The Ada County Coroner will release the victim’s identity pending family notification. The investigation is ongoing.
