Around 8 PM on Friday night, police responded to a hit-and-run in a parking garage on S. 9th St. The driver of a yellow mustang had struck 11 vehicles and fled the scene. One of the damaged vehicles was a truck, which the mustang dragged for a short time through the parking garage. Officers found the suspect’s vehicle abandoned near W. Eastover Terrace and there was additional damage to a light pole and a traffic control sign.  The Investigation is ongoing at this time. Officers are hoping to speak to Demariea Dawkins, who is the registered owner of the Mustang, as a person of interest.
