Update: Boise Police officer struck by a vehicle and injured

Arrested: Lantz Reeves, 31, Boise

Charges: Assault or Battery upon certain personnel - aggravated enhancement (F), Attempt to elude a police officer (F), Grand theft (F), Malicious Injury to property (F), Resisting or obstructing officers (m), Contempt of court (m) – 2 counts

The suspect, Lantz Reeves, was booked into the Ada County Jail on multiple charges this afternoon.  The injured officer has been treated and released from the hospital.


Previously released January 6, 2020 at 2:01 p.m.

Around 12:15 p.m. Boise Police officers were in the area of State Street and Fargo Street attempting to arrest a suspect on a felony warrant. The suspect fled in a vehicle which was found crashed into a utility box a short time later.  Officers arrived on scene and chased the suspect on foot.  While fleeing, the suspect entered an occupied vehicle and used it to strike an officer on scene.  The officer was rushed to the hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect wanted on the warrant is in custody.  This is developing situation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
