Update on arrests from the evening of July 21, 2020

Boise Police want to thank everyone who peacefully exercised their first amendment rights in Boise last night.  We also want to thank our partner agencies including the Meridian Police Department, Idaho State Police, Nampa Police Department, Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Ada County Paramedics and Boise Fire Department for their assistance.

Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee will be available for media questions during the prescheduled virtual meeting today at 2:30 PM.

Officers responded to a few disturbances throughout the night and made the following contacts related to criminal investigations.

One (1) adult male was arrested on a charge of Resisting and Obstructing after he jumped over the barricades marked clearly with police line do not cross tape.

One (1)  adult female reportedly pointed a firearm at people in a crowd. The investigation will be routed to the prosecutor’s office for review of charges. (photo of the weapon seized is shown below)

One (1)  juvenile was detained for battery and released to parents.

One (1)  juvenile was detained for disturbing the peace after jumping out of a vehicle and attempting to incite a fight. That juvenile was also released to parents.

One (1)  juvenile was cited for Minor in Consumption of alcohol.

One (1)  juvenile was reported to have committed a possibly battery on another subject in the crowd.  The report is being routed to the prosecutor’s office for review of charges.
