BPD investigates two reports of shots fired overnight

June 21, 2020

At 2:51 am Boise Police were called to 10th and Bannock for a report of a fight and a possible shot fired.  Officers arrived on scene and began an investigation. No one was found to be injured due to a firearm.

Minutes later at 2:59 am Boise Police responded to a call of shots fired near 10th and Main.  Officers were on scene almost immediately and took several people into custody.  Additional officers quickly searched the area for victims, but no one was found to be injured.  After an extensive investigation officers were unable to identify a suspect and it’s believed that that the suspect who fired a gun near 10th and Main was able to flee the area.

There is no evidence at this time that the two reported shootings are related and both remain under investigation.  Officers did find evidence that a firearm was discharged at both locations and are asking anyone with information to please call Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at: 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
