Boise Police searching for person of interest, witness

Boise Police are asking for the public’s help locating a person of interest and a witness to a stabbing last weekend.  An initial investigation shows that a female witness walked by two males and had a brief exchange with them before the two men got into a fight.  Boise Police are hoping that the female witness will recognize this incident and call police to assist in the investigation.  Detectives are also searching for a person of interest.  His name is Nathan Rideb, 59. Rideb is also known as “Omak.” Officers have been unable to locate Rideb since the incident and are asking anyone who knows where he is to call Ada County dispatch at 208-377-6790.

What Happened:  Boise Police responded to a reported stabbing on 5/24/20 just before noon on the 1500 block of River St.  A victim was found with injuries to his hand and face from a sharp object. The adult male victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. After an initial investigation, officers were able to identify a possible person of interest. The person of interest and the victim are known to each other.

Person of Interest: Nathan Rideb, 59. Rideb is also known as “Omak.”

Witness: Female witness to a fight on Sunday, May 24, 2020, just before noon on the 1500 block of River St.

Call Dispatch: Anyone with information about Rideb or the female witness is asked to call Ada County dispatch at 208-377-6790.
