Update: Suspect arrested for aggravated battery, burglary

Suspect: Cameron Hatch, 31, Boise

Charges: Battery-Aggravated (F), Burglary (F)

Shortly after 10 a.m. officers arrested Cameron Hatch on charges of Aggravated Battery and Burglary. Detectives were able to identify Hatch as a result of tips to Crime Stoppers and further investigation into an incident at a business on the 10000 block of Overland Rd on Nov. 19, 2020.  Hatch has been booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.

Officers would like to thank everyone who called in tips to Crime Stoppers.

Previously released: November 20, 2020

Around 7:15 p.m. on Thursday officers responded to a business on the 10000 block of W. Overland Rd. Shortly before officers arrived an employee observed an unknown male subject concealing items and attempting to leave the store. Evidence indicates that as another employee took the items away, the subject accessed a knife and used it injure the employee’s hand while the employee tried to stop the subject. The subject was able to grab a product, leave the store and get into to the passenger seat of a red pickup truck.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, approximately 6’2”, wearing all black and a trapper hat. The driver of the truck is described as a white male in his 20’s with possibly blonde facial hair
