BPD looking for two subjects seen dumping trash on Cooper Court

October 6, 2020

Officers need your help identifying the subjects in these photos.  On Saturday night around 7:30 p.m., these two dumped a U-Haul truck full of garbage, mattresses, a washing machine, small appliances, clothing, and more at Cooper Court.  Video evidence indicates these old household items were dumped to avoid disposing of them legally.

This incident blocked access to anyone using nearby homeless shelters from getting emergency services if needed. If there were an emergency, first responders would not have been able to get where they needed to go and help those in need in a timely manner.

These pictures taken from a nearby surveillance camera show what the area looked like before the U-Haul arrived and after it left. A mess like this is too big for Boise Police officers to clean up by themselves, so in this case a cleaning service was called to assist. This action is not only a misdemeanor offense, but cost the taxpayers more than $800.

Officers are looking for help identifying the subjects in the photos so officers can continue to investigate. The subject in the yellow shoes was driving. The subject in the purple pants was the passenger.  They face up to 6 months in jail and a $1000 fine plus restitution.

Anyone with information is urged to call dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers: at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
