Boise Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident near W. Overland Rd. and S. Owhyee St. on October 1, 2020. Thanks to tips from the public and an investigation by School Resource Officers, a warrant was issued for the arrest of Waseem Sardar. Investigators found evidence that Sardar approached a student and made unwanted contact with her including hugging and kissing her. There is no indication that the suspect attempted to get the child to go with him. Sardar was arrested on the warrant without incident today and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Boise Police are investigating a report of child enticement near South Junior High on Thursday, October 1st. A student reported that around 2:20 p.m. on the corner of Owyhee and Overland, an unidentified man approached the student on foot and initiated physical contact. The student was able to walk away and report the incident to South Junior High. Officers have been following up on leads and patrolling the area since the incident occurred.
Suspect Description: The suspect is described as a male adult with dark complexion, brown hair, approximately 5’9”, 220 pounds and was seen driving an early 2000’s model, black BMW.
