BPD investigating after rally leads to confrontation

Around 8:00 p.m. Boise Police responded to a report of a fight at the northeast corner of W. State Street and N. Veterans Memorial Pkwy. Two groups, each roughly two dozen people in size, were in a confrontation that became aggressive following a rally at the intersection. There were reports of fighting, pepper spray being used and the use of a megaphone. Officers on scene began investigations into the criminal reports from both groups.  No citations or arrests have been made at this time but officers are continuing to investigate.  If anyone has additional information or video that would assist officers with their investigations, please contact dispatch at 208-377-6790 or contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.  The scene was clear by 9:30 p.m.
