BPD investigating fatal single vehicle crash

Around 3:30 Monday morning officers responded to a single vehicle collision on the 3000 block of Gekeler Ln. Evidence indicates the driver of the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed, left the roadway and struck a tree. The adult female driver was the only occupant in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Ada County Coroner will release the deceased driver’s identity pending notification of next of kin. Boise Police Department detectives and a crash reconstruction team responded to the scene and an investigation is underway.
