Just before 8:20 last night officers responded to the 2000 block of W. Eastover Terrace to several reports of a man chasing after people with spear like objects. Evidence indicates the suspect, Edward Stanger, was holding two halves of a broken pool cue while chasing multiple groups of people and shouting threats. Stanger was also seen striking several vehicles with the broken cue. When officers arrived on scene Stanger made threats and ignored their commands. Stanger then attempted to pick up the broken pool cue he had previously dropped on the ground and that’s when an officer deployed their taser.  Stanger was taken into custody and transported to the hospital to be medically cleared. While being placed under arrest Stanger kicked and spit at officers. Stanger was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
